Hannah is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and Psychology. She is an interdisciplinary artist and a current MFA candidate at Maryland Institute College of Art. Hannah loves working in a multitude of mediums, but some of her favorites are ceramic, sculpture, installation, video, photography, mixed media, and found objects. She believes that art is for everyone and is committed to sharing her love for artmaking with others, no matter what their prior experience may be.

Introduction to Hand Building - 6 weeks


Time: Mondays from 4pm-6pm (First class 1/27, last class 3/3)

Cost: $350 with all materials included


Join us for an engaging introductory hand-building pottery class, perfect for beginners eager to explore the world of ceramics! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamental techniques of hand-building, including coiling, slab construction, and pinching, to create unique, functional, or decorative pieces. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm. By the end of the class, you’ll have completed your very own handmade pottery pieces, ready to be kiln-fired and cherished for years to come.


Intermediate Hand Building - 6 weeks


Time:Mondays from 1pm-3pm. (First class 1/27, last class 3/3)

Cost: $350 with all materials included


Take your pottery skills to the next level with our intermediate hand-building pottery class, designed for those who have some foundational experience with clay and are ready to refine their techniques. In this class, you’ll build on basic skills and explore more advanced methods such as intricate sculpting, complex slab work, and incorporating texture and decoration into your pieces. By the end of the course, you’ll complete more sophisticated pottery projects that showcase your growing expertise and creativity.


Beginners Wheel Throwing - 6 weeks


Time: Choose the day you would like when signing up.

            Mondays from 6:30pm-8:30pm (first class 1/27, last class 3/3)

            Tuesdays from 1pm-3pm (first class 1/28, last class 3/4)

            Wednesdays from 4pm-6pm (first class 1/29, last class 3/5)


Cost: $350 with all materials included


Discover the art of wheel throwing in our beginner-friendly pottery class! This hands-on course is perfect for those new to the potter’s wheel, guiding you through the essential techniques of centering, pulling, and shaping clay to create beautiful, functional forms like bowls and cups. No prior experience is needed—just come ready to get a little messy and have a lot of fun. By the end of the class, you’ll have created your first wheel-thrown pieces, ready for firing and glazing.


Historical Ceramics - 6 weeks


Time: Tuesdays from 4pm-6pm (First class 1/28, last class 3/4)

Cost: $350 with all materials included


Step back in time with our historical ceramics class, where you’ll explore the rich traditions and techniques that have shaped pottery through the ages. Perfect for pottery enthusiasts and history buffs alike, this course combines hands-on practice with fascinating lessons on the art forms of ancient civilizations such as those of Egypt, Greece, China, and Mesoamerica. You’ll learn how to replicate historical methods and designs, from intricate hand-built vessels to early wheel-thrown pieces, using techniques and tools similar to those of the past. This class offers a unique blend of craftsmanship and cultural appreciation, giving you the chance to create your own historically inspired ceramics while deepening your understanding of the art’s enduring legacy.


Alternative Surface Techniques for Pottery - 6 weeks


Time: Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm (First class 1/28, last class 3/4)

Cost: $350 with all materials included


Elevate your pottery with our specialized class on alternative surface techniques, designed for potters looking to add unique textures and visual interest to their work. This class delves into creative surface treatments that go beyond traditional glazing, including collage applications, printmaking techniques, cold finishes, and burnishing. Through a combination of demonstrations and hands-on practice, you’ll explore how to layer mixed media, transfer images, achieve polished, stone-like finishes, and apply non-ceramic materials for striking effects.
